Galerie kajetan is delighted to present frgmntd lmnts / lmntl frgmnts, the first solo exhibition by artist Nicole Heinzel (*1969) in its space. Heinzel’s works merge painting and drawing as well as abstraction and figuration in a strikingly innovative way. Through her perfected impasto technique, which lends her two-dimensional works a sculptural quality, Heinzel creates visual worlds rooted in natural forms. Yet, through reduction, fragmentation, and reformation, these forms ultimately transform into a universal, non-figurative visual language.
